CHER I like music a lot, but I don´t have any preferences at the moment of choosing an artist or even the group. Few months ago somebody talked me about Cher in her beginnings and some of her songs, that are actually really good, for example Heart of Stone or If I could turn back time. Any person who is in touch with music and like english could spend a moment traslating the lyrics to understand their meaning. Cher also played a song with Sony, I got you babe in the 60´s, which made them get their first hit around Europe. I leave you here the lyrics of my favourite song.

3OH!3 I don't like a particular band, say that I like songs in general. I chose a group that I like some of his songs and this is 3OH!3. 3OH!3 is an electro hop group from Colorado. It was formed in 2004. His members are Sean Michael Foreman and Nathaniel Warren Seth Motte. At 2007 they released their first album without success Namesake, a year later released their second album that got the 44th place in the USA. The Killers are an American indie group formed in Las Vegas in 2002.This band have influences form music styles of the 80s, and other music groups like Oasis, The Cure, New Order and The Smiths The members of the goup are Brandon Flowers, vocals and keyboards; Dave Keuning, guitar and vocals; Mark Stoermer, bass guitar and vocals; and Ronnie Vannucci Jr., percussion and drums. All began in 2001 when Brandon Flowers left other goup called Blush Response because he didn’t want to move to L.A. Then he met Dave Keuning responding to an adversiment that Keuning had placed in The Sun newspaper to form a band. Mark Stoerner and Ronnie Vannucci Jr were chosen by Brandom and Dave after doing and audition. Once the group was formed they started to play at important clubs and pubs of Las Vegas. In summer of the same year they signed with a British indie label called Lizard King. Since this they were success in lots of countries.
Avril Lavigne was born on Septeber 27th, 1984 in Ontario, Canada. She has an incredible voice but she can also play the guitar, the piano and the drums. She plays punk-rock music and her most successful album is "Let go" but she has done three more that still capture people's interest and they just get better and better. She's recently worked for Disney doing a song for the soundtrack of Alice in Wonderland.
I personally like her because her songs are so energetic and catchy, if you feel a little depressed her songs will cheer you up, but also the lyrics show personal feelings and they are well developed. For example, you can see this in the song called "My happy ending" where she express her disappointment with a boy, here's the chorus: You were everything, everything that I wanted We were meant to be, supposed to be, but we lost it And all of the memories, so close to me, just fade away All this time you were pretending So much for my happy ending
Another thing i like about her is her style. She has her own punk original way of gressing, acting and living. She usually wears black clothes and she dyed he hair pink once. This shows that she is brave ,that she is always herself and that she is proud of it, and this is something you can see in her songs too. But what i like the most about her is that she is an amazing singer. She has an amazing voice, she can easily reach high notes and she never distunes.
THE POLICE The Police is a rock and new wave group that was formed originally in London, in 1977. The group consisted in a trio formed by Sting(singer), Andy Summers(guitarrist) and Stewart Copeland(drummer). Tha band became globally popular when in 1978 they released thier first hit, called "Roxanne". They kept on top of the hit list with great songs as "So Lonely" or "Message in a Bottle", but in March 1984, they broke-up because they didn't have a very good relationship. Although the band members have remained separate, they have done some tours around the world during the past 25 years, like the one in 1986, another in 1992 or the last and final in 2008. To sum up, I just want to say that I recomend everyone to listen just one of their songs to realize how good they are and to understand why they are considered as one of the best groups in history of music. JASON MRAZ I don´t really have a favourite group or singer, but lately I've been listening a singer called Jason Mraz, and I recommend you to listen his music too. He was born on 1977 in Virginia, so now he is 33 years old. My favourite songs from him are "Life is wonderful", "I'm yours" and "You and I both" because their are very lively and makes me feel optimist and happy. Jason's music is influenced by reggae, pop, rock, folk, jazz and rap. He has became a very succesfull singer and song-writter because his lyrics are very original and make people feel better.

This may look odd because teenagers usually have definite preferences. Sometimes I listen in the radio to music programs, and I get surprised of how music has been written and interpreted by people of whom I have never heard; music which catches my attention and sounds very well. This happens to me often with radio programs on jazz, specially in the early hours of night, when this sounds very attractive. It looks like if every type of music has a mood and a moment in the day. Pop in the morning, classical in a relaxed evening, rock’n roll and dancing music at night, jazz also at night, etc.

Today , my favorite group of music is Despistaos. I like their music because I think that they have a very special personality. They can write a slow song or a fast song, they have a lot of recourses. Another one of the reasons by which I like this group is the letters of their songs, I think that they are able to transmit much with them. Despistaos is a Spanish band of pop-rock original of Guadalajara. The group was founded in the 2002, being his first components Dani Marco (Voice) and Isma (Low). Later, Dwells (Guitar), Krespo, Canario and Anono (Battery) are united to the band. They have published 5 CDs, their first CD is DESPISTAOS and their last CD IS LO QUE HEMOS VIVIDO, compilation that will include new versions of their more well-known songs and some new ones. This album is the one that more pleases me because of the variety of songs and the things that in them are spoken. In the disc contribute different artists like: Kutxi, Rulo or Huecco. Is predicted that their new work will appear in spring of 2010, with the title "Cuando empieza lo mejor". Day 12 of December of 2008 they receive the prize to better artist revelation, by the 40 Principales. My favorite songs are: Fisica o Quimica, Cada dos minutos, Estrella,Es importante, Los zapatos de un payaso, Hasta que pase la tormenta. In short, I think that this group is good especially for the teenagers, and is a very fun and entertaining group.
The group that I'm going to talk about is Green Day. This American group has three members: Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool.
Billie Joe Armstrong is the main singer and guitarist but also plays other instruments such as harmonica, mandolin, drums and piano.
Mike Dirt, who actually is called Michael Pritchard, plays bass and sings (although the main singer is Billie Joe), and sometimes also plays guitar and drums.
Finally, Frank Edwin Wright III, known by the name of Tré Cool, plays drums, and depending on the song he also plays the accordion, guitar and percussion instruments.
This group was formed in 1986 by Billie Joe and Mike Dirt at age 14. Later, in 1989 they met John Kiffmeyer and created the composition of the pop-punk, initially called Sweet Children. Somewhat late they renamed the group Green Day.
The group debuted at the restaurant where Billie Joe's mother worked and afterwards the group settled in Berkeley, one of the epicenters of the current punk in California.
The most important songs that this group has made are: Stuck With Me, Hitchin' a Ride, Know Your Enemy...
To sum up, I think this is the best group that I have ever heard because their music never gets old-fashioned, I have been listening to them for a long time.
As everybody knows, I am in love with the British style. I like the clothes, the country but the thing that I love the most is the music.
The United Kingdom has given to the world most of the best bands of history like The Beatles, The Who, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton, The Sex Pistols, Elton John… and many more.
Nowadays one of the bands which best represents the British style is The Libertines.
The Libertines is an English rock band. Formed in London in 1997 by front men Carl Barât (vocals/ guitar) and Pete Doherty (vocals/ guitar), the band also includes John Hassall (bass) and Gary Powell (drums).
In my opinion, all the songs by The Libertines are great but if I had to say their best songs I would choose these:

To sum up, I just want to say that The Libertines has changed the British music and I am looking forward to see them since they have said that they will play together during this summer.
